D.C. Public Pools Open for Memorial Day Weekend

Not going to make it to the beach this weekend? At least you can relax poolside. The D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation is opening 32 public pools temporarily for Memorial Day weekend.

Most pools will open on Friday, May 25 and stay open through Memorial Day on Monday. Full hours will begin on Monday, June 24. (D.C. public schools are set to close on Thursday, June 20.)

Memorial Day weekend should be a warm one, although not a hot one, with highs in the low to mid 70s, said Storm Team4 Meteorologist Amelia Segal. There may be some clouds trying to interfere with your pool lounging plans, though.

Check out the DPR website for a full list of pools that will be open this weekend.
