Coming Right Up: 9th Annual Downtown Holiday Market

D.C.'s open-air Downtown Holiday Market kicks off once more the day after Thanksgiving (Friday, Nov. 29), running through Monday, Dec. 23.

Under gleaming white tents topped with twinkling lights, more than 150 exhibitors and artisans -- rotating on a weekly basis -- will sell their wares on the sidewalks of F Street NW between 7th and 9th Streets, in front of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the National Portrait Gallery.

Shop for jewelry, clothing, housewares, artwork, leather goods and more. Included are wintry treats and hot beverages, and even live music. Top food picks last year (and probably every year ever): hot cider and fresh doughnut bites.

The market, now in its 9th year, is a partnership between the DowntownDC Business Improvement District and Diverse Markets Management.
