From Nov. 23 to Jan. 1, the zoo is illuminated with a sparking light display featuring sculptures of many of the zoo’s most popular animals. We're sharing one with you each day.

    Today's animal: Bald Eagle

    ZooLights debut: 2007

    Habitat: Bald eagles can be found throughout North America and usually rest near bodies of water.

    At the zoo: There is only one bald eagle living at the zoo. Tioga was rescued from the wild and came to the zoo in 1998.

    Bet you didnt know... Bald eagles can live up to 50 years.
