“America's Best Dance Crew” Judge Arrested on Child Molestation Charges

"America's Best Dance Crew" judge Shane Sparks has been arrested for alleged child molestation, the LAPD confirmed to Access Hollywood.

The 40-year-old choreographer, whose real name is Melvin Hall, was arrested at his home on Friday morning in North Hollywood and is being held at Van Nuys Jail on a $590,000 bail.

An LAPD spokesperson described the arrest as being part of an ongoing investigation.

In addition to MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew," Sparks previously served as a judge and choreographer on multiple seasons of FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance" (which earned him an Emmy nomination) and worked on the film "You Got Served."

"As this is an active legal matter, we are refraining from comment at this time," a rep for Sparks told Access on Friday.

MTV would not comment on the arrest when reached by Access.
