MTV has decided it’s time to run from “The Hills.”
The network confirmed Wednesday that it will pull the plug on reality franchise “The Hills” once its seventh season is up.
“I think we’ve told the story of struggle and of finding yourself in L.A.,” creator Adam DiVello told EW.com. “A lot of these kids have found themselves and have certainly embarked on different careers and different paths.”
Producers said the show’s final 12 episodes will kick off April 27 by showing Heidi Montag’s first face-to-face reunion with her mother since having undergone major plastic surgery.
“It’s a really touching but heartbreaking scene to watch,” the program’s executive producer, Liz Gateley, told EW.
DiVello also strongly hinted that Conrad would return to “The Hills” before the series wraps and commented on rumors that Pratt had been suspended from the show for an anger problem.
“Spencer is dealing with some stuff right now, and once he gets through that, we’ll be back to shooting with Spencer again, he said. "Bottom line is you will see him. He’ll be in most of the episodes.”
