Man Who Tried To Get In Ryan Seacrest's Car Is Sentenced

A man who assaulted a security guard who tried to stop him from getting into a car with "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest has been sentenced to 15 days in jail and three years probation.

Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr., 25, of Lakewood was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty in Orange County Superior Court to three misdemeanors: assault, battery and possession of a switchblade knife.

He was ordered to stay away from Seacrest.

Uzomah tried to enter Seacrest's vehicle on Tuesday as Seacrest left a charity appearance at Children's Hospital of Orange County.

Seacrest pulled away and was not involved.
