Jenny Slate Will Not Return to “SNL”: Sources

EW confirms the "Saturday Night Live" newbie got the boot

It looks like Jenny Slate didn't make the cut for a second season on "Saturday Night Live."

The New York comedian will not be returning for the show's 36th season, EW confirmed.

Slate made headlines last fall when she dropped the f-bomb during her SNL debut.

The newbie was performing in "Biker Chicks Chat," playing a foulmouthed motorcycle-driving woman clad in leather, when she dropped the curse word, which slipped by censors and was heard by East Coast viewers.

Slate guest starred in the HBO comedy "Bored to Death," and she voiced and co-wrote the viral hit "<a href="http://

Eight season veteran Will Forte will also be absent from the 2010 season. He announced in late August that he will not be returning to the show.

Amy Poehler will host the "Saturday Night Life" premiere on Sept. 25 as four new cast members make their debut: Vanessa Bayer and Paul Brittain, both from Chicago's iO Improv Theater, Taran Killam from the Los Angeles comedy group The Groundlings, and Jay Pharoah, a comedian originally from Virginia.
