A 21-year-old pop singer in the group Girlicious is facing possible cocaine charges after cops allegedly found more than a dozen bags of drugs stashed in her Gucci bag, according to reports.

Natalie Mejia, of Diamond Bar, Calif. was a passenger in a 1998 Ford Mustang that was pulled over for speeding Tuesday evening at Victory Boulevard and Winchester Avenue near an onramp to the Ventura Freeway, Glendale police told The Los Angeles Times.

Mejia was en route to the airport and was late for her flight, cops told the Times.

The car’s driver, Peter Asencio, 28, of Burbank was reportedly found to be driving with a suspended license. A subsequent search of the car turned up what appeared to be cocaine in Mejia’s bag, the Times reported. Both Asencio and Mejia were booked on suspicion of cocaine possession for sale or distribution, cops said.

Mejia told cops the drugs were not hers and she did not know how they found their way into her Gucci bag, according to the Times.

The singer posted $30,000 bail on Wednesday and was ordered to appear in court on April 15.

Girlicious’ first album was released in 2008 after Robin Antrin of the Pussycat Dolls founded the group.
