Katy Perry's Mom Upset Over “Risqué” Wardrobe

Katy’s mom, an evangelical wife of a pastor, doesn’t like the way her 26-year-old daughter is dressing, and is hoping to capitalize on her criticisms.

“No mother wants to see the top of her daughter’s boobs,” Mary Perry Hudson wrote in a book proposal, Page Six reports.

Hudson’s been on the warpath against her daughter’s lewd lyrics and “foul-mouthed fiancée,” now-husband Russell Brand for a while, Page Six says.

But Hudson isn’t the first to speak up about Perry’s buxom figure. Back in September, Perry’s segment for the children’s show “Sesame Street” was pulled because parents deemed her décolletage too sexy.

Back in 2001, Perry was known as Katy Hudson and released a self-titled Gospel album, but changed her image, as well as taking her mother’s maiden name for her public persona.

Hudson also holds hopes for Perry to become an evangelist herself. “I recognized the psalmist gift in her performance,” she said, “but she sang out, ‘I kissed a girl, and I liked it.’”
