Miley Goes Britney With New ‘Can't Be Tamed' Video

Just months ago, Miley Cyrus was name-dropping Britney Spears on the hit "Party in the USA" – now, she seems to be following in the pop princess' footsteps.

The 17-year-old "Hannah Montana" star debuted her very grown-up video for "Can't Be Tamed" on Tuesday, showcasing an electro-tinged new pop sound and scenes and costumes reminiscent of Britney's own recent "Circus" tour.

The clip opens with Miley, sporting wild hair, an all-black outfit and CGI dark peacock wings in a bird cage, joined by a group of similarly costumed, skin-baring dancers. After dancing through hallways, she – and her mammoth wings – return to her cage and nest. The cage imagery also recalls that of another edgy pop star – Rihanna – in her "Disturbia" video.

Miley's new album, "Untamed," is due June 22.
