Mike Myers Inks Deal For Another “Austin Powers”

Mike Myers' stint as "Austin Powers" isn't over yet. The long-ago "Saturday Night Live" alum has signed on to star as the eponymous British spy in the series' upcoming fourth movie, HitFix reports.

The rest of the talent at the movie's helm hasn't been confirmed yet, and no details were available on who might direct the new "Powers" flick — or on what might happen in it.

With the series' undeniable star in place, might once-upon-a-time co-stars like Beyoncé, from 2002's "Goldmember," resurface in the new movie?

That movie, the most recent of the hit comedies about the lascivious mod super-spy, was released back in 2002.

But its franchise, which melded action to parodies of '60s spy movies, was wildly lucrative for New Line Cinema, Reuters reports: 1999's "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" cost $33 million to make and raked in $312 worldwide at the box office.

Over the last decade, Myers has voiced "Shrek" and starred as "The Love Guru." His long-running comic characters like Austin Powers and the rock-obsessed Wayne of "Wayne's World" remain his most iconic roles, though.
