Arnett filed the papers in Los Angeles Superior Court last week, and is asking the court to award Poehler and him joint physical and legal custody of their two sons Archibald and Abel, according to documents obtained by E! News.

The "Parks and Recreation" star and the "Arrested Development" alum have collaborated on several projects together, including "Blades of Glory," "Monsters vs. Aliens" and "Horton Hears a Who!" In 2010, Arnett made a guest appearance on Poehler's hit NBC comedy.

This was Arnett's second marriage--he was divorced from Penelope Ann Miller after one year of marriage in 1995--and Poehler's first.

Following their split, Arnett was linked to Billy Joel's ex-wife, Katie Lee, last August, while Poehler, 42, was rumored to be dating funnyman Nick Kroll as of early last year.
