Budweiser Ad Brings “Puppy Love” to Super Bowl

Budweiser's big play for the Super Bowl? Tugging at the heartstrings.

Revealed for the first time Wednesday on "Today," the brewer showcased its new Super Bowl ad, "Puppy Love."

The 60 second spot centers around a 10-week-old puppy who shares a special bond with a Clydesdale living on a neighboring farm.

Cuteness ensues as the determined pup repeatedly breaks free from his enclosure to pay visits to his oversized friend. It all plays out to a musical backing track of "Let Her Go" by Passenger.

The tale of friends apart is reminiscent of last year's crowd-pleaser from Budweiser, "Brotherhood," in which a Clydesdale is reunited with his trainer.

"Puppy Love," hit the Internet in the wake of other Super Bowl ads teased ahead of Sunday's big game: Scarlett Johansson teams with SodaStream in an effort to make soda water sexy, and British actors Ben Kinglsey, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong attempt to explain why their countrymen make the best villains in a spot for Jaguar cars.

Check out the full version of "Puppy Love" above, and take a behind-the-scenes peek at how they got the pup and Clydesdale to play cute, below.
