Marvel Shows First Footage From ‘Captain America: Civil War'

Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige and star Chris Evans have debuted the first footage and trailer from "Captain America: Civil War."

Audiences at Disney's fan convention D23 got a peek at the upcoming rift in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Saturday at the Disneyland-adjacent Anaheim Convention Center.

The clip shows a hands-on battle in a crowded square with Evans, as Captain America, Anthony Mackie, as Falcon, and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow taking on Crossbones — a formidable foe with a powerful punch.

The trailer teases the deep ideological divide between Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man and Evans' Captain America that finds the Avengers fighting one another.

"Civil War," out May 6, is the first in Marvel's "Stage Three" which will continue with "Doctor Strange," starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
