In this Sept. 7, 2012 file photo, Liam Neeson poses on the red carpet before a screening of his movie "Taken 2." Neeson showed up at a sandwich shop that wrote "Liam Neeson eats here for free" on a sign outside of its store in British Columbia Wednesday.

It's not everyday a celebrity shows up at your local sandwich shop. But when Liam Neeson’s in town, anything’s possible.

Big Star Sandwich Co. in New Westminster, British Columbia, put a sign outside its shop that said "Liam Neeson eats here for free." The actor is currently filming his upcoming movie, "Hard Power," in the area.

The shop posted a photo of the sign online and soon enough, Neeson actually showed up, asking "Where’s my sandwich?" according to The Globe and Mail, a Canadian news site.

A spokesman for the shop told The Globe and Mail that Neeson posed for some photos, but didn’t take them up on the offer for free food.
