L'Wren Scott Funeral: Mick Jagger and Family, Ellen Barkin Among Mourners

L'Wren Scott's loved ones gathered to say goodbye to the fashion designer Tuesday at a private funeral service held in Los Angeles.

Mick Jagger was among those who gave a eulogy for his late partner, who took her own life last week. Her brother Randy Bambrough and several others, including longtime friend Ellen Barkin also spoke.

Jagger's daughter Karis read a poem and her half-sister Jade read Psalm 139. The rocker's grandkids Mazie and Zak read the traditional Psalm 23.

Scott's niece, Randy's daughter Hannah, read Shakespeare's Sonnet 18, which starts with the question, "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?"

The service was led by Reverend Ed Bacon of All Saints Church in nearby Pasadena.

Frequent Rolling Stones backing vocalist Bernard Fowler sang "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" with guitar accompaniment by Dave Stewart. (Not the Eurythmics' Stewart, but another British musician of the same name.)

A source close to Scott told E! News last week that Scott, who had been Jagger's companion for roughly 13 years, simply "adored" her boyfriend's children. "She loved them like they were her own," the insider said. "She was a wonderful person. Kind, generous and lots of fun. Everyone adored L'Wren."

The 49-year-old designer, who established a built-in famous clientele during her early days as a stylist to the stars, was found dead at her Manhattan apartment on March 17. Her body was briefly held at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home on Madison Avenue before being transported to L.A. It's not immediately known whether Hollywood Forever Cemetery will be her final resting place.

The New York City Medical Examiner's Office officially ruled Scott's death to be a suicide by hanging following an autopsy.

"I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way," Jagger wrote on Facebook about his loss. "We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves.

"She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her."
