Stormy Forecast: Kimmel Books Daniels on Night of Trump Speech

Daniels is in the news following reports that she had an affair with the future president in 2006

ABC's Jimmy Kimmel is bringing adult film star Stormy Daniels on his show next Tuesday on the night of President Donald Trump's State of the Union speech.

Daniels is in the news following reports that she had an affair with Trump in 2006, 10 years before he ran for president against Hillary Clinton. The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump's lawyer arranged a payment to Daniels to prevent her from talking about the alleged encounter before the 2016 presidential election.

Trump attorney Michael Cohen said in a statement after the Journal report that, "These rumors have circulated time and again since 2011. President Trump once again vehemently denies any such occurrence as has Ms. Daniels."

Cohen also provided a statement that was signed in the name of Daniels that called rumors of the affair and hush money "completely false,” NBC News reported.

Daniels spoke to "Inside Editon" this week but did not respond to a question about a sexual encounter with Trump before he became president, except by smiling. She also did not respond when asked if she received a payment to remain silent or signed a non-disclosure agreement.

Daniels allowed that "it's common by looking at photos that I’ve met him."

She said she's faced threats since her "strangely normal" life was upended by reports of the alleged affair.

In the interview, Daniels also said that she enjoyed being spoofed recently on "Saturday Night Live."

"Did I giggle? Yes," she said.

Last week, InTouch published what it said was a recently rediscovered 2011 interview with Daniels where she detailed the alleged affair.

Kimmel announced Daniels' booking via Twitter. He wrote that he had many questions. ABC on Friday confirmed the booking.
