Home From ‘Silence of the Lambs' Sells for $195,000

The building was home to psychotic killer Buffalo Bill in the 1991 film

The western Pennsylvania house used in the film "The Silence of the Lambs'' has been sold.

Dianne Wilk, a real estate agent for the homeowners, tells the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review the Layton home, about 28 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, sold last week for $195,000.

The building was home to psychotic killer Buffalo Bill in the 1991 film.

Scott and Barbara Lloyd listed the three-story Victorian home for sale last summer for $300,000.

Wilk says the home's owners, Scott and Barbara Lloyd, felt the movie may have improved its value.

She declined to name the buyer, who prefers to maintain a low profile, but says he was interested in the home because it had been in the film.
