Cyrus will take a break from season 12, but will return for season 13 next fall

She’s back!

Gwen Stefani will rejoin NBC’s “The Voice” for its 12th season in 2017. Recording artists Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will return as coaches to the three-time Emmy Award-winning music competition series. Carson Daly will also return as the host.

Current coach Miley Cyrus will take a break from season 12, but will return for the 13th season next fall. Cyrus joined the show as a key adviser this past spring. She voiced excitement about her return on Twitter.

“We can’t wait to experience the unique chemistry and energy Gwen, Alicia, Blake and Adam will bring to season 12,” said Paul Telegdy, president, Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment. “With Miley returning for season 13, we’re truly ecstatic about the unmatched musical know-how and talent coming together in our coming seasons.”

Stefani previously served as a coach in seasons seven and nine, and as an adviser for seasons eight and 10.

This will be Shelton’s and Levine’s 12th season. Keys joined as a coach in the show’s 11th season.
