First Look: Christopher Walken as Captain Hook in “Peter Pan Live!”

We finally have our first look at Christopher Walken as Captain Hook in NBC's "Peter Pan Live!"

The live musical's executive producer Neil Meron posted the first look photo of the Oscar winner on Twitter, simply writing, "Wow!!!"

The network has released the first photo of Walken in his Hook costume, complete with wig, hook and make-up. And bonus: He's posing alongside his Peter: "Girls" star Allison Williams. (NBC previously released a photo of Williams in her costume and wig.)

"He's one of the most unique actors in our business...and he might really just be a song and dance man at heart," NBC president Bob Greenblatt said of Walken's casting. "He's fearless as a comedic actor and we guarantee he will bring his own take to Captain Hook. This might be the first tap-dancing Captain Hook."

And in a statement, Walken added, "I started my career in musicals," Walken said, "and it's wonderful after all this time, at this point in my career, to be in this classic musical I watched as a child and to work with Neil Meron and Craig Zadan again after Hairspray. It's a chance to put on my tap shoes again."

The three-hour special recently announced the casting of two major roles: Taylor Louderman will play Wendy Darling and Alanna Saunders will take on the role of Tiger Lily. They join Christian Borle, who is pulling double duty as Mr. Darling and Smee, and Kelli O'Hara as Mrs. Darling.

"Peter Pan Live!" will air on Thursday, Dec. 4, on NBC.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
