Cardi B Cancels Upcoming Performances to Focus on Pregnancy

The rapper says in Instagram post "shorty keep growing" and she can "barely breathe"

Cardi B’s going to be taking it easy for a bit.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper announced on Instagram Wednesday night that this weekend’s Broccoli Fest in Washington, D.C. will be her last performance “for a little while” so she can focus on her pregnancy.

“Because, you know, shorty keep growing. I be looking like I be moving and everything but in reality a b-tch barely can breathe," she said in her Instagram video.

The soon-to-be mom admitted now that she’s reaching the end of her pregnancy she’s having a harder time singing and dancing on stage.

In her Instagram video, as she was asking fans to continue listening to her newly released album “Invasion of Privacy” the difficulty breathing hit.

“I ate like six chicken wings, and I barely can breathe right now," the 25-year-old said.

Cardi was scheduled to perform at music festivals through July, including JMBLYA Festival in May and New York City’s Panorama Festival in July.

On top of announcing the news on Instagram, she shared it on Twitter.

"Okay so I might be off from doing performances for a couple of months but in the meantime imma be working my a-- off," she tweeted on Thursday. "So many songs, features to do. Working on a lot of deals i sign up for and most importantly nesting. I'm already overwhelmed from the new work."

Cardi revealed her pregnancy with fiance Offset of Migos earlier this month when she was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live.

Last week she performed at Coachella, and she confirmed that she’ll make her post-pregnancy comeback for the fourth and final leg of the 24K Magic Tour with Bruno Mars beginning Sept. 7.
