Sandra Bullock Not Fretting About Jesse

Oscar winner plays guitar at Nashville fundraiser

Maybe she caught the music bug from "Blind Side" co-star Tim McGraw or maybe she's been learning the blues since her breakup with Jesse James, but Sandra Bullock had a guitar with her when she took the stage at a Nashville benefit concert.

Taking her place alongside Grammy winners like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Toby Keith, Bullock belted out Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water" for the sold-out crowd of more than 15,000 at Tuesday’s Nashville Rising: A Benefit Concert for Flood Recovery, People reports. Her appearance at the event, hosted by country music power couple Faith Hill and McGraw, was a surprise to many.

“I’m going to bring the house down,” Bullock, 45, gamely promised before her act.

It was a rare appearance for the Oscar-winning actress since her widely publicized divorce with James. Earlier this month, she poked fun at her personal travails while accepting the Troopers Choice Award at Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards in California.

"We're all going to be honest, right?" she said. "Did I win this for being entertainer of the year, or did I win this because of the spectacular I.E.D. [improvised explosive device] explosion that became my personal life?"

Bullock, who has vowed not to fade away despite her turmoil, will reunite with her "Proposal" co-star Ryan Reynolds on the new movie "Most Wanted."
