Rosie O'Donnell Spills The Beans On A Backstage Bust Up With Barbara Walters To Oprah Winfrey

Rosie O'Donnell has finally opened up about a blow up fight she had with Barbara Walters while working on "The View."

In clips made available to Access Hollywood to promote Rosie's appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" airing this coming Monday, Rosie spoke to the talk show queen about the incident with Barbara.

It wasn't immediately clear from the clip when the incident took place, however, a rep for Harpo said it happened backstage at "The View" after Barbara returned from a vacation. In fact, Rosie and Barbara made headlines for a rumored backstage "View" spat in early 2007, when Donald Trump seemed to pit Barbara against Rosie when he claimed Barbara once told him she did not like Rosie and claimed the veteran TV journalist regretted her decision to put Rosie on "The View."

Barbara later said that was not true, but her response wasn't immediate as she was on vacation when Trump first made his remarks.

"I actually do love her and care about her… but I did scare her that day because, you know, I'm 200 pounds. When I stand up and I go right in your face and say, you know, 'What is wrong with you? Do you not — do you not have a human heart?" Rosie told Oprah. "You know, it's crazy."

"It was a bad scene," Oprah replied.

"Words are weapons for me," Rosie continued in the clip. "And for me, at that moment, if I had been braver, I would have just cried and said you really hurt my feelings."

And Rosie also opened up to Oprah about her split from her long-term partner Kelli Carpenter. She confirmed the two of them are sharing the responsibility of raising their four children.

"So now you co-parent and they spend half the time with her?" Oprah asked.

"Yeah, although we co-parent, but we share equal time… but we're never really without them… and that's the way we did it. It's free flowing and we do nights together, too."

When asked if Kelli lived nearby, Rosie said… well, sort of.

"Yes, she lives nearby and – not close enough," she said. "I wanted her to live in the same town and she was like, 'I don't know how good that's gonna be for me.'"

Rosie said she reacted emotionally to Kelli's response.

"[I was] like, 'What are you saying? You can't exist! (to herself) 'OK, Calm down, Kumbaya my Lord," Rosie laughed.
