Lohan: “I Am Not To Be Made An Example Of Anymore”

"I'd appreciate it if people will just let me do what is asked of me, so that I can get my life back"

Lindsay Lohan said she’s still “working hard and fulfilling my obligations,” despite reports that she skipped out on court-ordered community service appointments at a Los Angeles women’s center.

“I am not to be made an example of anymore,” Lohan wrote on Twitter ahead of her court appearance next week. “I am working hard and fulfilling my obligations every single day, to the court as well as myself.”

Earlier on Friday, the Los Angeles Times cited police sources that said Lohan had completed 21 of 360 court-ordered hours of service at the skid row shelter for women.

Lohan was booted for missing several appointments and would finish her community service sentence for the American Red Cross, a spokeswoman for the LA District Attorney’s office confirmed to the Times.

The “Mean Girls” star is also required to perform 120 hours of janitorial work at the Los Angeles County coroner’s office by next May as part of her sentence stemming from her jewelry theft and drunk driving cases. She has so far been a no-show at the coroner’s office, according to the Times.

Lohan, who is set to return to court Oct. 19, asked her supporters to "ignore the reports which have no truth to them.”

“If I travel, its for work and its been approved,” she wrote. “As is anything I do when I leave the state. I'd appreciate it if people will just let me do what is asked of me, so that I can get my life back. Please ignore the reports which have no truth to them. Thank you.”
