Cindy Crawford on Mole Alert

Supermodel urges everyone to take their health seriously

Supermodel Cindy Crawford’s signature look could be dangerous – for her health.

The 43-year-old fashion stunner reveals that doctors have her keeping a close eye on the famously photographed mole that dots her left cheek, Britain’s Daily Mail reported.

Their concern is that the beauty mark could turn cancerous.

“It's not something I really like to talk about,” Crawford told the Mail while in London for an Omega watches launch party.

“But I do now get this and all my moles checked out every year as a matter of course. Of course it should be an issue we all have to take seriously.”

Back in the ‘80s, the burgeoning model’s mole would have been indistinguishable from a common freckle, the paper reported.

But since conquering the world of high fashion, Crawford must now constantly monitor her birth mark for signs that it has changed shape or color.

She’s had to fundamentally change her lifestyle too.

“I keep very healthy otherwise. I exercise regularly and eat well,” Crawford said. “I don't smoke and I drink only occasionally like tonight when I may have a glass of champagne.”
