Mickey Rourke’s big comeback came with his title role in “The Wrestler,” but it could be playing another bruiser that takes him to the top of the box office.

According to Variety, the resurgent star is in talks to play a super-villain in “Iron Man 2.” The character is described as a heavily tattooed Russian arms dealer who will fight Iron Man in his own suit.

The villain is reportedly likely to be one of Iron Man’s more popular comic book foes, the Crimson Dynamo.

“Charlie’s Angels” bad guy Sam Rockwell is also reportedly in talks to play a villain in the superhero sequel, due in May 2010. Robert Downey Jr. will return as the title character and his alter-ego, Tony Stark.
