Tickets for Michael Jackson's concert series in London sold out within five hours on Friday, concert organizers told the Associated Press.
Some die-hard fans waited in line since Wednesday to secure tickets, but they didn't seem to mind as they sang his songs and danced while waiting in line. The shows will kick off in July and will be the start of 50 concerts in London. The concerts will draw to a close in February 2010, according to the Los Angeles Times.
After 360,000 advance tickets sold out earlier this week, another 500,000 tickets were made available Friday, organizers told the AP.
Tickets for the show have ranged between $70 and $105 at the box office. The prices are expected to balloon once the tickets hit the internet, according to MTV.
The concert title, "This is It," refers to the end of Jackson performing in London. "This is it! I just want to say these will be my final shows, performances in London. ... When I say this is it, it really means this is it," he said at a rambling press conference announcing the shows last week, according to MTV.
Jacko has kept a low profile since his acquittal on sex abuse charges in 2005. Recently, he has struggled to make payments on his Neverland ranch which he lost last year, according to the New York Times.
