Melissa George Ends Her ‘Grey's Anatomy' Rotation

Melissa George will no longer be walking the halls of Seattle Grace as Dr. Sadie Harris on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” but a rep for the actress told Access Hollywood that her departure is no cause for a code blue.

Despite previous headline-worthy exits on “Grey’s” by other actors, Melissa’s departure from the medical drama is anything but dramatic, according to her rep.

Her rep told Access the actress only committed to eight episodes and that she’s come to the end of the run for her character’s storyline.

Melissa told Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello, who first broke the news of her departure, that she’ll miss working with her co-stars most.

“I love the show so much,” she said. “I’ve made some beautiful friends. I love T.R. Knight. I love Patrick Dempsey, Justin Chambers… I adore Ellen Pompeo. I think she’s a strong, incredible woman. And Katherine Heigl is the most beautiful creature on Earth.”
