Lance Armstrong: ‘Biological Clock' Led To Split With Sheryl Crow

It was Sheryl Crow's biological clock that caused the singer and Lance Armstrong to split, the cycling champ reveals in his new biography, "Lance."

"She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn't want that, but I didn't want that at that time because I had just gotten out of a marriage, I'd just had kids [Luke, Grace and Bella]," Lance says in the July-due book, which is written by John Wilcockson. "Yet we're up against her biological clock — that pressure is what cracked it."

Lance married Kristin Richards in June 1997 and the couple had three kids before calling it quits in September 2003. He began dating Sheryl shortly thereafter, and the couple announced their engagement in 2005 before breaking up the next year. Sheryl, 47, adopted a baby boy, Wyatt Steven, in 2008.

Lance was linked to a number of women after splitting with Sheryl, including fashion designer Tory Burch, Kate Hudson, and even Ashley Olsen, before announcing in December 2008 that girlfriend Anna Hansen was pregnant with his fourth child.
