Katy Perry's Date for the Grammys? Her Grandmother

Katy Perry is bringing someone special as her date to the Grammys on Feb. 13—and we’re not talking about hubby Russell Brand.

"My grandma, who is 90 years old, is going to come with me," the pop star told The Associated Press. "She's going to be my date on the red carpet cause I figured if I don't win any Grammys I still get to go home with my granny,"

Perry is nominated for four Grammy Awards including Album of the Year for "Teenage Dream." She spoke about performing at the ceremony.

"It's going to be an amazing performance. I don't want to get too much into it but it's going to be a medley of 'Teenage Dream." "But there's going to be a lot of surprises here and there."

The pop star also told the AP that being the voice of Smurfette for the forthcoming Smurfs movie was natural to her. "The Smurfs movie was really fun for me cause a lot of times, you know, 360 days out of the year I feel like a cartoon. So I thought playing a cartoon was a natural thing to do,"

She added: "With 'The Smurfs' I get to walk into the studio and I can be in my pajamas and I make a really cute little voice, which is kind of a mixture of my voice and a little voice."
