James Frey to Return to Oprah's Couch

As Oprah Winfrey gathers her last few guests in the shadow of her May 25th finale, you can't deny she intends to go out with several bangs.

A week after it was revealed that President and Mrs. Barack Obama would be taping an appearance comes word that author James Frey has agreed to return to the couch where he was torn to bits five years earlier.

In 2006, Frey appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" to promote "A Million Little Pieces" only to have Oprah grill him about fabricating huge portions of his so-called memoir. The backlash was so severe that Frey fled the country and set up residence in France.

After receiving an apology from Winfrey a few years ago, Frey appears ready to return to the scene of the crime.

"When I heard her say, ‘I felt I owe you an apology,’ I was very grateful,” Frey revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair. “As far as I’m concerned, that part of my career is over and behind me.”

Frey's new book, "The Final Testament of the Holy Bible," comes out in limited release tomorrow. It tells the story of the Second Coming of Christ, only this time the savior lives in the Bronx, is a former alcoholic, and impregnates a prostitute.

Can't wait to hear Oprah rip into this one.
