E! News Host Giuliana Rancic Reveals She Has Breast Cancer

Giuliana Rancic's attempt to have a baby may have saved her life.

The 36-year-old E! News host and Style Network personality told the "Today" show this morning that while undergoing another round of in-vitro fertilization efforts, she was given a mammogram that detected breast cancer.

Rancic will undergo surgery this week and then will begin six-weeks of radiation therapy. She claims the cancer has been discovered in its early stages, and the prognosis for her recovery is good.

Despite the diagnosis and the fact that her first in-vitro fetilization attempt ended in miscarriage, Rancic claims she is still pushing to have a baby.

"I still want this baby, because this baby has saved my life," she said. "I truly feel God was looking out after me. If I had gotten pregnant later down the line, I could have been a lot sicker."

She then praised her husband, Bill Rancic, calling him "unbelievable." The pair star on the Style Network reality series "Giuliana and Bill," which mostly focused on their efforts to have a baby.
