Dish Of Salt: My Pre-Globes Stuff You Must Weekend

What better way to have started off my Golden Globes weekend than a trip to Access Hollywood’s 3rd annual “Stuff You Must” lounge. For every celebrity that stopped by the lounge a donation was made by CVS pharmacy to Best Buddies and the Lollipop Theater Network. So, just showing up was a bonus, besides the opportunity to check out some very cool new products. Of course, I was like a kid in a candy store — not because of all the goodies — but because I was in serious TV heaven with some of my favorite stars in attendance.

My first stop was at the Bertolli Living Room where I got a chance to dish with the stars as they were treated to Bertolli Oven Bake Meals. “High School Musical” songstress Vanessa Hudgens ate not one but two plates of lasagna despite being on an almond diet. “Wizards of Waverly Place” star Selena Gomez picked up some special treats for her family, “Yes, I have my food for the next six weeks and I can pop dinner in the oven and cook for my family!”

Despite having a bit of a cold, I shared a taste test with Cloris Leachman of some extremely yummy Bertolli ravioli. Fortunately, she let me have the first bite… but if I start sniffling I’ll know who to blame. Then again, how many people can say they shared a meal with Cloris!

I just about had a breakdown when Shailene Woodley, the star of ABC Family’s “Secret Life of The American Teenager” popped into the lounge. I love that show and I have never met her! I hope she didn’t mind me stalking her while she checked out cool clothes from Glamour Campaign. Despite having a bit of a sunburn, I was able to talk her into chatting with me for a little “Secret” scoop. In the show she plays a pregnant teenager. They are getting close to the end of filming on season two and Shailene told me that next week they will film the big birth episode - which means she can finally lose that fake belly!

I ran into my ex-TV fiancé Zachary Levi, (if you don’t know the “engagement” story by now you must be new to my blog!) as he was picking up his AMC premiere pass, which gives you free movies for a year. It’s incredible and with awards season right now, it’s a great way to see all the nominated films! Of course, Zach and I joked about our broken “engagement” (as we always tend to start out with that topic.) but then he filled me in on the big 3-D episode they are filming which airs the Monday night after Super Bowl Sunday, “It’s this new 3D technology that’s really, really incredible.”

Talk about bad luck on timing. “Dexter’s” Jennifer Carpenter stopped by the lounge just 45 minutes before it was announced she had eloped with her co-star Michael C. Hall, who plays her brother on the Globe-nominated Showtime drama. We missed the opportunity to ask her about it, but now I know why when she was checking out baby gear at Mikey Stars from Michael Stars she joked to our camera man, “don’t shoot me! People will think I’m pregnant!” She requested some gender-neutral onesies and t-shirts, which makes me curious about that anyway!

“Twilight’s” Taylor Lautner dropped by to help present the check from CVS pharmacy and show us his ripped body since gaining 26 pounds to bulk up for the “Twilight” sequel “New Moon.” If you haven’t seen the video be sure and check it out here. Does our little Jacob have a new leading lady love? Over at the D’Annunzio Group International booth he scooped up a diamond heart necklace for his 17-year-old girlfriend (whose name he wouldn’t share).

Stacy Keibler dropped by the CVS Pharmacy/Reinventing Beauty Bar where celebrity hair guru Christophe create a fabulous updo for her. And where was she going? To her good friend Fergie’s wedding to Josh Duhamel. Christophe then created a Veronica Lake inspired hairdo for me. Unfortunately, I wasn’t going anywhere quite as glamorous. Just a surprise birthday party for a friend! Across from me, Rumer Willis got a fun makeover from celebrity makeup artist Laura Geller at the Beauty 360 Prestige Suite.

I thought it was absolutely hysterical that Adam Carolla arranged for Pro Flowers to send an arrangement to his best buddy Jimmy Kimmel! The card read, “To 15 more years with my gay bear lover.” OK, so, not so politically correct on the card Adam but we do love your attempt at “Bromance.”

AquaSwiss was showing off their absolutely stunning Diablo style watch, which literally twists 360 degrees to expose two different faces. “In Treatment” star Blair Underwood loved it some much he said he was planning on wearing it to President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration. At least we know he will be on time!

“90210” star AnnaLynn McCord was an absolute doll and let our cameras follow her around as she checked out all the vendors. She tried on the same pair of grey sheepskin Koolaburra boots that I own. They are soooo comfortable. She will love them for those long days on set. She also broke news to us that she will be returning for a few episodes as bad girl Eden on “Nip/Tuck” this season. I cannot wait for that.

Of the Stuff You Must Lounge experience, I think she summed it up well, “I’m always happy to come for something that’s supporting the greater good!”
