The son of rap mogul Dr. Dre died from an accidental drug overdose, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
Andre Young Jr., 20, died from “an accident due to morphine and heroin intoxication,” Los Angeles County Coroner spokesperson Larry Dietz told Access.

Young was found unresponsive on August 23 by his mother, Jenita Porter, in the family’s home in Woodland Hills, Calif.
Porter had told police her son had been out with friends the night before his death, and she remembered hearing him snoring around 5:30 AM.

An autopsy was performed on the rapper’s son in the days following his death, however, it took more than three months for officials to get the toxicology results before announcing the cause of death today.
At the time of Young’s death, authorities had ruled out any foul play.
On Wednesday night, Dr. Dre celebrated New Year’s Eve at The Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, where Travis Barker and DJ AM performed for the first time together since their harrowing South Carolina Learjet crash in September.
