Bobby Brown Speaks About His Sobriety During New Edition Concert

Singer takes the stage following wife's medical emergency and tells fans that he's been 21 days sober of alcohol.

Singer Bobby Brown made sure to let his fans know what's up.

The artist--who checked himself into rehab shortly after marrying Alicia Etheredge in Hawaii, and then checked out three weeks later--wanted concertgoers from last night's show in Orlando to know that he's not going down the same troubled road as before.

"I'm seven and a half years off of narcotics, 21 days clean of alcohol and I go by the name Bad Ass Bobby Brown," he announced to the crowd.

Brown took part in the New Edition reunion show Saturday night shortly after his wife was admitted to the hospital for a seizure.

"The report that my wife was rushed to the hospital is true," Brown tweeted Saturday afternoon. "She is recovering and in good spirits. Please keep my family in your prayers."

Earlier today, Brown told his Twitter followers, "Once again... Thank u, Thank U, THANK U.. My family is doing great!!! B. Brown out!!!"
