Travolta, Swine Flu Cruise Passengers to Be Cool: Belize

Not even Travolta can rid a country of its swine flu fears

It takes more than star power to overcome a country's swine flu fears. Just ask John Travolta.

The mega star was stuck on a cruise ship with 2,000 other passengers after the Belize government decided to quarantine the boat amid fears someone might have swine flu. Belize is one of the few countries in the world that has no confirmed cases of the H1N1 virus and they would like to keep it that way, thank you very much.

The Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's "Enchantment of the Sea" left Miami on June 8th and reached its Belize port Thursday. Passengers looking to tour the city were held on the boat for about four hours while health officials checked out members of the crew who began showing flu-like symptoms on the voyage.

Travolta, who reportedly was on vacation, was scheduled to board a private jet for another trip. No word if the delay caused any problems for the Pulp Fiction star or if he went medieval on anyone on the ship.

Considering Travolta has a new movie out, Pelham 123, maybe next time instead of boat, he'll consider sticking to the train.
