Axl Rose Punches “Unruly” Photographer at LAX

Singer proves he's got an appetite for destruction

Guns N' Roses front man Axl Rose welcomed a photographer to the jungle yesterday when he punched the paparazzo for allegedly accosting a member of his entourage.

Rose's camp released a statement in Rolling Stone today acknowledging the incident without specifically mentioning Rose's haymaker.

"Mr. Rose, who was about to enter a security checkpoint at LAX when the altercation took place, was approached by a group of unchecked and unruly photographers who became aggressive with the singer and female members of the traveling group,” it read.

Video of the scuffle was posted earlier today on TMZ.com. In it, you can hear a woman getting into an argument with the photographer off camera. Rose stops in his tracks, visibly upset, as other members of his entourage try to move him along. Suddenly, the 47-year-old rocker rushes the paparazzi and hits his head with a mean right hook.

Rose was at LAX en-route to Taiwan to kick off Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy Tour in Taipei.

It is still unknown if any charges will be brought against him.
