Spend your weekend roaming a vast 280-acre landscape at Middleton’s Cedar Hill Farm (13070 Legacy Farm Place, Waldorf, Md.). Pick your own pumpkins and other fresh produce while getting a tour of this generational family farm, where you'll also find a corn maze, hay rides, and sweet apple cider. Cedar Hills Farm is open every weekend through Nov.4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Take a trip to Ridgefield Farm & Orchard (414 Kidwiler Road, Harper's Ferry, W.V.) for their House of Panic, Pumpkin Fest (including a magic show for the little ones), and fresh pumpkins and apples prime for picking. The farm and orchard are open weekends through Oct. 28. The House of Panic, Edgy Hayride, and Pitch Black Corn Maze are held from dark until 10:30 p.m. on Fri.-Sat.
