Spend your weekend roaming a vast 280-acre landscape at Middleton’s Cedar Hill Farm (13070 Legacy Farm Place, Waldorf, Md.). Pick your own pumpkins and other fresh produce while getting a tour of this generational family farm, where you'll also find a corn maze, hay rides, and sweet apple cider. Cedar Hills Farm is open every weekend through Nov.4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

THE DEAL: Visit LivingSocial by Oct. 2 and pay $21 (regularly $42) for a package that includes a hay ride and corn maze admission for four people.

Recognized by MSN as one of America’s Best Pumpkin Patches, Jumbo’s Pumpkin Patch (6521 Holter Road, Middletown, Md.) offers free hay rides and a 14-acre corn maze. Visitors can meander through patch grounds picking pumpkins and visiting the petting zoo. Military Weekend is Oct. 6-7 (those with military ID receive 20 percent off their produce purchases), and on other weekends you'll fund alpacas, pulled pork barbecue and homemade ice cream. Jumbo's is open weekends through Oct. 28.

Enjoy being terrified? Hey, what sounds unpleasant about that? Take a trip to Ridgefield Farm & Orchard (414 Kidwiler Road, Harper's Ferry, W.V.) for their House of Panic, Pumpkin Fest (including a magic show for the little ones), and fresh pumpkins and apples prime for picking. The farm and orchard are open weekends through Oct. 28. The House of Panic, Edgy Hayride, and Pitch Black Corn Maze are held from dark until 10:30 p.m. on Fri.-Sat.

THE DEAL: Prices vary,  but if you grab tickets from LivingSocial by Oct. 2 you can get admission to the haunted house, hay ride and corn maze for $6 kids and $10 adults.
