Psyched about the FIFA World Cup? The D.C. area is hosting plenty of watch parties with food and drink specials, food trucks and more so you can soak up all the excitement.

National Harbor, Maryland

National Harbor will be hosting plenty of waterfront watch parties. Bring your chairs and catch the games on a jumbo screen; find the schedule here.

Enjoy $6 World Cup Mules during the World Cup (8 a.m.-last call).

Open City (2331 Calvert St. NW)
Through July 15

Get $5 draft beers during games (10 a.m.-last call).

The Coupe (3415 11th St. NW)
Through July 15

"We can't watch America in the World Cup, but we can drink American while watching the World Cup," the owners say. Get American craft beers for $5 during games (10 a.m.-last call).

The Diner (2453 18th St. NW)

Enjoy $7 Lavender Mules during the World Cup (10am-last call).

Chatter (5247 Wisconsin Ave. NW)
Through July 15

Chatter will offer World Cup specials, including cans of Schaefer beer for $2.18 and bar snacks for $3, including fried pickles and sweet corn fritters.

Chatter will show every game on the Group Stage schedule during business hours. The bar will also open early to show the weekend games for Round of 16 through the Finals.

Dacha Beer Garden (1600 7th St. NW)

The beer garden will be showing World Cup games on their TVs and will be opening at 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday the week of June 18 (with regular opening hours Friday at noon and weekends at 11 a.m.).


Kingbird at The Watergate (2650 Virginia Ave. NW)

Kingbird will serve up a special each day representing one of the countries competing that day, such as limburger grilled cheese for Germany vs. Mexico (June 17) and Korean-style fried chicken wings for South Korea vs. Sweden (June 18).

Wheaton Sports Pavilion (11751 Orebaugh Ave., Silver Spring)
June 23 

Head to the Wheaton Sports Pavilion for a free watch party and open house for the Mexico/South Korea match. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., a half-hour before kickoff. Catch the match on a blow-up big-screen. Planners promise "a family-friendly atmosphere." You'll also find food trucks and kids' games.
