Western Maryland Blues Fest

Got the post-Memorial Day blues?

Hey, there's an event for that!

The Western Maryland Blues Fest is Thursday  May 31 through Sunday June 3, when Hagerstown's City Center will be buzzing with the sounds of blues, along with plenty of other activities for all ages.

Help begin the fest this Thursday by setting up your lawn chair or blanket, and relaxing with a little drinky drink, and, of course, live blues bands during the Blues Prelude starting at 5 p.m.

Friday offers the Lotta Blues Kickoff ($20-$25 adults), with four acts from 4:30 to 9:45 p.m.

On Saturday, head out for a downtown house party ($40 adults), without the house. Live music and activities run from noon to 9:30 p.m. You'll be able to choose from eight acts on four stages, including the Lee Boys, Trampled Under Foot, Ronnie Earl & the Broadcasters, and Walter Trout.
Sunday is the Family Blues Picnic, with free admission. A kids' area on Saturday and Sunday offers free arts and crafts, face painting, harmonic workshops, instrument-making and storytelling.

Tickets purchased after May 29 are gate price only, and available at Will Call after purchase.
