Live Like a ‘Housewife' by Visiting These Potomac Spots

The latest "Real Housewives" franchise is hitting close to home.

Very, very close.

Thursday, BRAVO announced that the "The Real Housewives of Potomac" will premiere in January. Just like other installments of the franchise, the "Potomac" edition looks to dish up plenty of drama, old money, and painful-looking shoes.

You might be sighing inwardly, but just in case you're looking to live it up, we've got the rundown on "Housewife"-worthy Potomac destinations for when you just need to feel like a "Housewife" (with a capital H).

For the stressed housewife:

Between event planning, picking the kids up from prep school and lunches at the country club, being a housewife sure can be stressful. Luckily, Bella Moda Salon and Spa is right in the heart of Potomac to freshen up with a facial, unwind with a massage and take care of those split ends.

Every housewife knows that nothing compliments new bling like a fresh manicure. AcuSpa is the perfect destination for a fresh coat before meeting girlfriends for lunch.

For the hungry housewife:

Savor award-winning French cuisine at L'Auberge Chez Francois. The seasonal menu will transport you to the French countryside, even if you're not a reality star. Sip on a specialty cocktail while enjoying a delectable six-course prix-fixe dinner menu. Just make sure to save room for the crème brûlée or Grand Marnier Soufflé for dessert.

After a long night of attending galas and charity events, every housewife needs a relaxed brunch. The brunch buffet at Normandie Farm features made-to-order omelets, pancakes and waffles, as well as a raw bar and the restaurant's famous popovers. Reservations are recommended at the Potomac landmark that opened in 1931.

For the sporty housewife:

Gotta burn off all those brunch calories, right? Don a Lululemon hoodie, load up the Range Rover and head to  the Billy Goat hiking trail, which features 7.8 miles of rock-hopping and breathtaking views of the Potomac River. You just may want to stop by the Old Angler's Inn for a bite to eat and a beverage afterward.

When the ladies are killing your vibe and you literally cannot even anymore, bring back the zen with a trip to Village Yoga. Detox the negative energy while getting in housewife-worthy shape.

For the housewife who needs a membership:

Since the area prides itself on being "invitation-only," any visitor will need some connections to gain access to the elite country clubs of Potomac. The prestigious Congressional Country Club is the perfect place for your next grand event. Check your connections, though, because it's rumored that the membership waiting list is a whopping 10 years.

The Tournament Players Club Potomac at Avenel Farm, named one of the Top 10 Courses in Maryland by Golf Digest, recently underwent a historic renovation. Check out the new course that was just chosen to host the Quicken Loans National in 2017.
