The Heritage Festival at Monticello (931 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, Virginia) kicks off Friday, Sept. 11, featuring more than 35 pre-festival workshops to choose from.
Spend a few hours with a gardening expert and learn about the evolution of coffee, explore Thomas Jefferson's experimental garden or pick from a list of other premium workshops ($15-$55).
The main event is Saturday, Sept. 12 on Monticello's West Lawn, where you will find chef demonstrations, a bounty of fruit and vegetable tastings and kids' activities, all included with your ticket.
