Humans and Chocolate: We Go Way Back

Travel close to home with a visit to the Rippon Lodge historic site  (15500 Blackburn Road, Woodbridge, Va.) to polish off a pound or two (are we estimating too conservatively?) of chocolate during Chocolate: A History and Tasting. Normal 0 0 1 95 546 4 1 670 11.1539 0 0 0

Entrance to this event is $15 and includes plenty of yummy samples of chocolate through history, and free house tours on Thursday, April 26. The event is led by chocolate artisan Ben Rassmussen of Potomac Chocolate, the first bean-to-bar chocolate makers in the D.C. area.

The Rippon Lodge is a 30-acre park that is home to several other historic buildings that date back centuries. Reservations are not required.
