Pack Your Fancypants for Greenbrier Resort

Your tax refund is on its way (right?) so go ahead and treat yourself to a weekend of swanky revelry at the Greenbrier Resort (300 W. Main St., White Sulphur Springs, W.V.).

The four-star, AAA Five Diamond resort spreads its footprint across 6,500 acres of more than impressive land. To add to the already majestic layout, at the center of this resort rests a sulphur water spring that has captivated guests for almost 200 years. The decorating aesthetic is modern baroque (think Dorothy Draper) with bold, inspiring colors to stripes with floral patterns.

When golf season rolls back around, hit the greens at Greenbrier, which became a TPC course as of last year, a label great for bragging rights. That also means we don't have to explain how awesome the course is because you just know it is (OK?).

Considering a V-day trip? Consider the Romance and Roses package at Greenbrier, available Feb. 10-15. Your room will be filled with rose petals, chocolates and champagne upon your arrival. The package also includes a $100 resort credit, a 25 percent discount off one item at their jewelry store, 15 percent off at the five-star spa, a couples portrait, dancing and a rose petal turndown. Or you could just choose from the other 12 or so packages that will suit anyone's wishes.

Other amenities include fine dining, more than 50 activities (bowling, laser tag, sleigh rides, etc.), designer boutiques, a five-star spa, and a 103,000-square-foot casino club

One thing to keep in mind, though: Dress appropriately! There's a dress code at the resort.
