Go-Kart Racing, More Competitive Than You Think

The only time we'd recommend staying indoors during the summer would be to beat the heat, and All Sports Grand Prix racing seems like the perfect activity for that.

Allsports is located in Dulles, Va. (45915 Maries Rd.), about a half hour from D.C, and it takes go-kart racing to a whole new level. Some of the best go-kart racers in the area come here to hone their driving skills.
Races are taken by reservation or by arrive and drive. The arrive and drive is first-come, first-serve, you know, for the fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type of racer. The group races like the micro grand prix (10-lap main race) or the mini grand prix (40-lap main race), on the other hand, need reservations.
Who knows -- if you work at it, maybe you can get your name on the all-time top 50 lap times. Cost of the races start at $24.50.
Hours are 1-9 p.m. Monday to Thursday, noon-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon-8 p.m. Sunday.
