    After the parade of restaurant weeks in recent weeks -- D.C., Bethesda, Alexandria, Baltimore -- your next opportunity is in the historic city of Annapolis, Md., about an hour's drive from downtown D.C.

    Carpaccio Tuscan Kitchen & Wine Bar (One Park Place, Suite 10, Annapolis, Md.): three-course prix fixe dinner menu and two-course prix fixe lunch menu.

    Price: $32.95 for dinner; $15.95 for lunch

    Highlights: pan-fried chicken breast with tomato sauce, baked with mozzarella cheese and served with spaghetti in a pomodoro ragu sauce; veal scallopini sauteed in a marsala wine sauce with mushrooms and served with vegetables.

    Lemongrass (167 West St., Annapolis, Md.): three-course prix-fixe dinner menu and two-course prix fixe lunch menu.

    Price: $32.95 for dinner; $15.95 for lunch.

    Highlights: Chesapeake pad thai; kapow served with a choice of chicken, shrimp, beef, pork or tofu.

    Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge (169 West St., Annapolis, Md.): three-course prix fixe dinner menu, two-course prix fixe lunch menu and two-course prix fixe breakfast menu.

    Price:$32.95 for dinner; $15.95 for lunch; $12.95 for breakfast

    Highlights: crispy eggplant burger with mozzarella and sauteed peppers and onions; salt roasted beet and goat cheese salad.

    Ruth's Chris Steak House (301 Severn Ave., Annapolis, Md.): three-course prix fixe dinner menu.


    Highlights: fish tacos with cornmeal breaded catfish and served with pico de gallo; grilled and marinated hanger steak topped with caramelized cremini mushrooms, onions, blue cheese, and a demi-glaze served with roasted redskin potatoes and a  zucchini, squash, roasted red pepper medley.

    The Rockfish (400 Sixth St., Annapolis, Md.): three-course prix fixe dinner menu. 


    Highlights: macadamia mahi-mahi, baked and served over peanut sauce with pineapple salsa, jasmine rice and vegetables; braised short ribs served over creamy polenta and topped with a mushroom sauce and fontina cheese.

    In addition to the specials at participating restaurant, Main Street Annapolis is offering special store deals and attractions for patrons with a Plates and Perks VIP card.

    You can get your card at the end of a restaurant week meal along with a parking voucher. Some participating merchants include Zachary's Jewelers, The Clay Bakers, Kokopelli and the Annapolis Maritime Museum.
