Toast to Frederick Pours Out Local Wines, Live Music, Cooking Demos

Raise Your Glass for a Toast to Frederick

Raise your wine glass for a Toast to Frederick the weekend of April 21-22. They're pulling out all the stops for an indoor weekend wine and food extravaganza at the Frederick Fairgrounds (797 E. Patrick St., Frederick, Md.).

Enjoy traditional wines made from everything from grapes (obviously) to specialty wines made from honey and non-grape fruits. Sample from eight local wineries who will bring their new releases as well as their most popular wines. Six other vineyards will also be there, including Elk Run, Sugarloaf Mountain and Orchid Cellars.

Frederick-area musicians, artisans and culinary extraordinaries will be around to entertain and enlighten your wine sampling path around the venue. Take in wine education classes and cooking demos, and browse work by local artists.

Live music will come from performers such as Ted Garber, the Jukebox Underdogs and the Jimi Cupino Project throughout each day. (See the complete music schedule here.)

The fest runs Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22 from noon to 6 p.m. both days. Tickets are $25 at the gate, or $30 for a tasting of 14 premium wines. Save by ordering your tickets online here before April 20.
