Ever had ninja beer? Nope, it's not a clever new brew. Instead, Alewerks (189-B Ewell Road, Williamsburg, Va.), has cases of Red Marker Ale on sale for $28 -- only it's disguised itself as Three Sheets to the Wind. Sneaky!
Alewerks' brick Peter Austin brewhouse ferments a broad range of beer, including the amber-colored Red Marker.
Although the goal is to not actually end up three sheets to the wind, you can tour the brewhouse for a mere $6, which includes a beer tasting and a free glass. You'll learn about the history of beer and brewing, the story of Aleworks (and its ales, of course). Tours run daily at 2 and 3 p.m.

Using state-of-the-art conical fermenters to brew their beer, the fairly new Alewerks (est. 2006) has quickly earned a reputation for producing some of the best beer in the region. Beer on tap at Alewerks include their White, Wheat and Chesapeake Pale Ales, Red Marker (sold by the case) and Coffee House Stout. They'll also fill your growlers or mini-kegs.
