It's a Grape Life in Staunton

Quench your thirst for wine to the multitude of 18 at the second annual Winter Wine Festival (24 South Market St., Staunton, Va.) this Saturday, Feb. 18. Taste wine from a bevy of Virginia's wineries (18 to be exact) while you delight in local artisan cuisine along with live entertainment and door prizes. 

The wine festival be held at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel (24 S. Market St., Staunton, Va.) from noon to 6 p.m. to benefit the Historic Staunton Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to the preservation of historic buildings and resources in Staunton through education, advocacy and technical assistance. 
 
Get two free tickets to the festival if you book a stay at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel. The package also includes breakfast for two, overnight accommodations and free parking for $170. 
 
If you prefer to tour some of the wineries near Staunton before (or after) your trip, you will have a handful of wineries to choose from. 
 
Admission is $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Staunton is about three hours southwest of downtown D.C., and is a 45-minute drive from Monticello.
