It's November and that, apparently, means Soup in the Cellar Sundays at Boordy Vineyards. (We know, we just found this out, too.)
This ongoing Sunday event runs from 1 to 5 p.m., serving up wine and soup tastings, with rustic bread for dipping (in the soup, not the wine). You'll also find winery tours (2 and 3 p.m.) and live music, all inside in an 1830 stone barn/wine cellar.
Some soups you might find: sweet potato maple, chipotle bisque, tomato cheddar bisque with basil spätzle, and smoked chicken corn chowder.
Tickets are $15. Boordy Vineyards is located eight miles northeast of the Baltimore Beltway at 12800 Long Green Pike in Hydes, Md.
